The Atkins Diet has been around for a long time. It is consistently in the top ten weight loss programs and is best known for its low-carb approach to weight loss. This results in fast weight loss at first, then gradual weight loss that lasts. According the Atkins website, “Our Diet Plan Is Powered by Science. When you go low-carb, your body goes into a metabolic state called ketosis and begins to burn its own fat for energy to fuel your daily activities. Ketosis comes with lots of other health and wellbeing benefits, including higher energy levels, fewer cravings, and better sleep.”

As a relative newcomer, Noom is a modern approach that has rapidly gained followers due to its innovative approach that aims to change how we think about food. Noom invites would-be dieters to “find out what’s possible with Noom’s psychology-based evaluation. Using a cognitive behavior therapy style approach, the diet aims to educate and inform without placing any foods off limits, so users of the tech-based approach can make their own choices.

The HMR Weight Management Plan is used by many medical institutions across the USA and is based around a system of two phases. In the first phase, those wishing to lose weight use a number of HMR weight loss products including meals, snacks, and milkshakes. In the second phase, users learn about nutrition and sustainable balanced diet.

Based on the popular television series in which contestants compete to lose weight through a tough diet and exercise regime, the Biggest Loser diet has many fans. It emphasizes a balanced diet of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. This allows you to feel full on fewer calories, and to lose weight while eating satisfying portions of nutritious foods.” By focusing on healthy foods, this weight loss program should have other health benefits aside from weight loss.

Another well-known name in the list of the top ten weight loss programs, Slimfast is known for its meal replacement shakes. However, there is more to the plan than simple meal replacements, as its website explains, “The SlimFast Plan means you can enjoy a mixture of meal replacements, snacks and a balanced meal every day.” Drinking enough water is actively encouraged. When the target weight goal is reached, users simply replace one meal a day with a Slimfast meal replacement in order to maintain the target weight.

  1. Dukan

The last, but not least in our top ten weight loss programs is the Dukan plan. The Dukan website explains, “The Dukan Diet will redesign your eating habits and help you permanently stabilize your weight.
